Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Skyline Electric website and the process of requesting service. By using this site or submitting a service request you agree to the terms below.

Use of this website

This website is provided for informational purposes and to let you request service. You agree not to use the site to transmit spam, malicious code, or otherwise attempt to disrupt the site or its users. We reserve the right to block access at our discretion.

Service requests and scheduling

Submitting a request through this website does not create a binding service contract. We respond to requests in the order received. Schedule and arrival windows are best-effort estimates; weather, parts availability, and utility coordination can shift them. We will communicate proactively if your appointment needs to move.

Pricing and quotes

Standard residential diagnostic visits are billed at a flat call-out fee plus time on site. After-hours and weekend rates differ — call for current pricing. Repair and install work is quoted in writing before any work begins, and you receive a written quote with scope, materials, and price before we proceed. We do not perform unauthorized work or surprise add-ons. All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD). HST applies where required. Accepted payment methods are listed on the invoice.

ESA permits and inspection

Electrical work in Ontario that requires a permit is pulled in our name as the ESA Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC). We coordinate the rough-in and final inspections with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and deliver the Certificate of Inspection to you at the close of the job. Where the work does not require a permit we note that in writing on the quote. All work is performed to the current Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).

Service agreement and warranty

All work performed is governed by our written quote and standard service agreement provided at the time of service. Labour warranties and parts warranties are stated on the invoice and are subject to manufacturer terms. Warranty coverage may require documented annual maintenance and proper installation conditions; we will tell you in writing if any warranty stipulations apply.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Skyline Electric's liability for any claim arising from website use or services performed is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Right to decline service

Skyline Electric reserves the right to decline service for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, inaccessible equipment, suspected illegal activity, or non-payment of prior invoices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, unless otherwise required by law.
