Privacy Policy

Skyline Electric respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect when you use this website or request service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to reflect the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which governs how Canadian businesses handle personal information.

Information we collect

When you submit the contact or service-request form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address (or service area), and the description you provide of the work needed. We do not collect Social Insurance Numbers, payment-card numbers through this site, or any sensitive financial data. Server logs may capture IP address, browser type, and timestamps for troubleshooting and security purposes.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to schedule, perform, and follow up on the service you requested. We may contact you by phone, text, or email to confirm appointments, ask clarifying questions about the work, send a written quote, or follow up after the visit. We retain service records for warranty, accounting, ESA documentation, and legal compliance only as long as required.

Information sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your contact details with third parties for marketing. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the business — for example, our email delivery vendor, our scheduling software, or our accounting platform — under contracts that require them to protect your data. We may share information with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) when required to register an electrical permit or close out an inspection on work performed at your address. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses minimal first-party functional cookies needed for forms and security (Cloudflare Turnstile). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages get traffic and where to improve. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Your choices and rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw consent for its use. Submit requests through the contact form or by phone — (705) 242-9090. We respond within a reasonable time, generally within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
